How can we help?
Answers to the questions we get most, plus tips for getting the best out of the scanner and for keeping graded cards straight in your collection.
Frequently asked
Getting a good scan
Fill the frame with one card. Cropping the card out of a busy desk photo is what trips the scanner up most often.
Shoot straight on. Laying the card flat and holding the phone parallel to it beats a shot taken at an angle.
Get light on the card, not behind it. Daylight from a window works well; a hard shadow across the card does not.
Skip sleeves and toploaders when you can. Glare off the plastic hides the artwork the scanner reads.
Make sure the card name at the top is sharp and readable. That line is the strongest clue in the photo.
After the scan, confirm the match before you save. Similar artwork from the same set is common, so check the set name and card number.
Managing graded card entries
- 1
Open the card you want to track and tap Add to collection.
- 2
Pick the grade from the Grade row: Raw / NM, PSA 10, PSA 9, PSA 8, PSA 7, BGS 10, BGS 9.5, CGC 10 or CGC 9.5.
- 3
Set the quantity if you own more than one copy in that grade, and enter what you paid if you want gain tracking. The dialog shows the estimated value for the grade as you change it.
- 4
Save. Each grade of a card is its own entry, so a raw copy and a PSA 10 copy of the same card are tracked separately.
- 5
Adjust later from your Collection: change the quantity up or down, or remove the entry. Export CSV gives you the whole list with grades and values.
